Contractors working around Valdez tend to want the same things: a container on site before the crew arrives, and gone soon after the crew leaves. In a city this size, an early call leaves more room on the local schedule.
Homeowners doing the job themselves have it easier with a little sorting first. Set aside anything a Valdez landfill might refuse, and load the heaviest items low and evenly from the start.
Here is how we fit into renting a container or restroom in Valdez.
Concrete, brick and dirt need short-walled containers and a clear fill line. Mention them first so the right box gets sent.
Standard units, accessible units and handwashing stations can all be raised on the same call, whatever the headcount.
We connect the call. The provider delivers, services and collects, and bills you directly. No confusion on who to phone later.
Describe what is going in rather than guessing yards. Roofing, concrete and household clutter all load very differently.
Ask about 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard containers. Not every provider stocks every size, so have a second choice in mind.
What people planning a rental in Valdez, AK tend to ask.
Public events and many job sites call for accessible units. Federal standards generally ask that part of a cluster, and at least one unit, be accessible. Your Valdez event permit or site contract may spell out exactly how many you need.
Yes. The line at (833) 871-6766 is open 24/7, so you can call whenever the job comes up. Delivery times are separate and depend on the Valdez provider's own schedule, which often runs on business hours.
On private property, usually not. On a street, sidewalk or other public right of way, many towns do require one, and the rules differ across AK. Check with the Valdez public works or permit office before the drop-off date.
Rentals generally include a set tonnage, and anything above it is billed by the ton once the load crosses the scale. Roofing, dirt and masonry reach that limit quickly. Ask for the included weight and the per-ton rate for Valdez before you start loading.
Rental periods are set by each provider, and many start around a week. If your Valdez project may run long, say so on the first call, because extra days are often cheaper when agreed before delivery than added afterward.
Federal OSHA sets a minimum by crew size, starting at one toilet for a crew of 20 or fewer, and Valdez or Alaska rules may add to it. Share your peak headcount with the provider so the unit count and cleaning schedule suit the work.
